Holy crap. Maryland beat the crap out of Tennessee in the Peach Bowl tonight.
I'm now pretty much convinced that Ralph Friedgen is the second coming of The Bear (which says a lot, considering where I'm from)
I am a total convert, and my husband is now the happiest man alive.
Man, I feel for Tiger Woods today. Not that he needs my sympathy-- he makes more money than God. But what a downer to be set up on the first hole of the day like that. That probably was why he was off and jittery all day. After all, who knew if that asshole was following him around?
I have to say as a newly minted golfer myself, I would have punched that guy in the gallery right out. Where is the sportsmanship? It's amazing to me that people can be such assholes.
Of these top stories, which one do you think is the most important?
A. Another student shot in a DC public school (for a total of three in the past two weeks, and govt doing nothing at all about it)
B. One of the largest political rallies in recent history in Annapolis to protest school funding cuts
C. Redskins' coach Joe Gibbs's forgetting to bring his insulin to Florida for a business trip
Just guess.
Well- let's rule out the least important one, shall we?
In reality that would be C, right?
Apparently not, if you're the ABC 7 news team. Apparently C is the most important thing to happen in the past 24 hours. What dillholes.
My email follows:
I am absolutely ashamed and shocked to see the priorities your team places on news. How can you possibly consider (and report as an emergency) Joe Gibb's failure to remember his insulin as the top news story tonight, considering there was a major political rally held in Annapolis for education funding and another child killed in a DC public school? The biggest insult to my time and intelligence, however, is the fact that your reporter had the lack of intelligence to include the statement "asked if he will return to work tomorrow, a spokesman said 'I imagine so.'" Mr. Gibbs is diabetic, not in medical distress, and probably went to the emergency room as the expedient choice of getting his medication administered. If your correspondents don't have the professionalism to research what they're reporting and prioritize it accordingly, they shouldn't be on the air. I sincerely hope you will use better judgment in the future.
Dillholes I tell you. Even in Alabama I had a better news channel. (Ahhhh.... I feel better.) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of the media being up Joe Gibbs's ass. He's a G-D coach for F's sake. Not the second coming of Christ. Why don’t we wait and see if he can get those slobs in shape to, say, win a game first? If he can coach them into a winning season, then I’ll gladly worship at the First Church of Joe, because that truly would be a miracle of Biblical proportions.
Well sports fans, Mike Shula is done at the University of Alabama, and after watching the Rape of the Thumb, I'm not really sorry to see him go.
It normally annoys me when a coach gets fired after a streak of losses, because after all, nobody can win every game all the time, but this time it was just in the cards. I mean, when even the hard core fans at an Alabama home game boo the coach as they set up a play, he's got a short career ahead of him. I wonder how many plastic thumbs he's received in the mail so far...
And people wonder why I'm not an Orioles Fan. I'm just sayin'.
