Like most of my generation, one of the first things I can remember seeing on television was Sesame Street. The language and songs still make their way into my vernacular, and of course, whenever I hear a countoff, this is what runs through my mind:
Remember all of these classic clips?
- The Orange Sings Carmen
- The Ladybugs' Picnic
- The Alligator King
- The Fairy Alphabet
- Letter B
- Milk, Miiiiiiilk, Milk(Check it out-- an interview with the composer here!)
- The Yip-Yips Meet The Telephone(still my favorite after all these years)
- Stevie Wonder: Superstition
- Put Down The Duckie
- Tito Puente
- Good Morning Starshine (Bob looks so young!!)
- Lena Horne & Kermit: Bein' Green

Holy weirdness, I've been on a Sesame Street/Muppet kick myself. I was looking for stuff about making puppets (long story), and found a bunch of YT links in some multi-part Henson tribute. I've recently watched about half of the ones you listed, but now I'll have to watch the others. I wanna see that Bip Bippadotta retrospective too -- didn't even know his name until a couple days ago!
Found this blog by way of gapingvoid, if you haven't figured that out. :)

David and I were much bigger Electric Company fans. I didn't actually like Sesame Street all that much. But I did love the yip-yip aliens. And even thought the Count scared the shit out of me, it's a lot of fun to count that way NOW.
