So I thought you guys should have a look at the man who long ago started down the road that led to the touring commentary of the past few weeks: Annunzio Paolo Mantovani. He was a really prolific recording artist in his day and one of the more famous musical personalities of the twentieth century. (That being said, I didn't recognize the name when I got the gig at first-- doh.)
No Charmaine to be found, but here are a couple more tunes to check out:
Lonely Ballerina
Lazy Gondolier
Sous les Ciels des Paris
Come Prima
This kind of encapsulates how I feel about this number myself:
Lucky Stillwagon's Singing Debut
